Revive a life Uganda

Revive a life Uganda

The Revival Church in New Mills first fostered links with Uganda back in 2000 during a visit to the country.

Deeply moved by what they had witnessed and determined to do something to help, several teams returned to Uganda. In February 2006 Colin Bonser and his wife Hilary, visited an orphange in the Lowero region, and Revive a life was born. Their purpose is to help these children, most orphaned by AIDS, and improve the lives of these Ugandan youngsters.

Uganda is currently one of the poorest countries in the world. In the Luwero region alone there are estimated to be over 50,000 orphans, many due to AIDS. Most live in extreme poverty.

In spring 2006 a team from New Mills Revival Church visited an orphanage in the Luwero region. Revive a life Uganda was founded out of a desire to make a difference to the children's lives.

We are currently supporting one orphanage and aim to provide for the basic needs of the children. We also want to raise awareness of their situation and provide better facilities and education. We are the only source of financial support for the orphanage. Every penny that we raise goes to improve their quality of life.
